2014 Cycling Act Awards

The achievements of 29 Canberra cyclists, coaches and volunteers were recognised Wednesday night 15 April at the annual Cycling ACT Awards at the Ainslie Football Club.

Ten Vikings members were presented with major awards on the night:

Junior female track rider of the year

Kerry Knowler
Master female track rider of the year

Mitchell Lovelock-Fay
Domestic elite male road rider of the year

Michael Matthews
International elite male road rider of the year

Lyn Vasudeva
Master female road rider of the year

Susan Powell
Para-cyclist of the year

Jonathan and Laura Lowe
Vikings Cycling Club volunteer of the year

Jim Veal
ACT volunteer of the year

Shayne Borger
ACT Commissaire of the year

Jordan Louis
Graham Toohey memorial time trial award


Four Vikings athletes were also recognised for their performances at international events with a 2014 Special Achievement Award:
