There are still Novice places remaining!

September 13, 2013

There are still places free in all three Novice Program groups for this year! The program this year is looking fantastic with coaching from JA, bike mechanics from Ride365, women’s skills sessions on the astroturf, evening info sessions, the novice crit, the usual novice Norman and a couple of longer weekend rides. The cost for new members includes a significantly discounted (30%) 2014 gold membership – there is no other way to sign up for 2014 for this cheap. We are so excited about this year’s program that have increased capacity to 45 riders! We want to share our sport and our passion with as many new riders as we can!

The program begins in the week of the 23rd September, running with three groups according to starting ability and confidence. Once again Canberra’s most experienced novice road coaches, John Armstrong and Simon Dwyer, take new riders through eight weeks of skills, drills, tactics and speed training with the aim of a successful and safe first season of criterium racing.  The program is supported by several mentors to help introduce riders to the Canberra scene. This year we have made sure that each group has a female mentor and add several women’s-only sessions thanks to the wonderful Bec Doolan.
